Canucks, Playoffs and other things

Why do we put our hope in things other than God? My dear wife just shared with me that only one team wins the Stanley Cup and all the rest who qualify for the Post Season, lose!!!Not just the one team I love but a total of 15 teams.This is really a key fact otherwise after their dismal performance (loss 5-2 to Chicago) in game 3 on home ice no less....ArgggggggHHHHHHHHHarghhh!!!!! I needed to get that out of my system! Otherwise it could bother me for a longer time.We just got to let that go or else we can not sleep until the next game...Well recently we succeeded in a business goal that we had been working on in the last couple months but the victory of that also was quite empty. The success of that lasted about a day and a half it will be a blessing going forward,yet it does not really hold the eternal joy like seeing someone saved,healed or delivered... we know the word says "that we should not place our trust in horses or chariots but that we should trust in the Living God." You know this has been a great season in a lot of ways so many adjustments and so many new things in our lives. I also know that God has broken through in several areas of our lives, our children are responding and making better choices, if they can mature then surely my time has come to mature. God let it truly be my time for transformation in this next season. With the upcoming birth of our third child there are many amazing ways God is showing His love to us. It is so important to place our trust in the hope that will not disappoint, Christ... none the less Go Canucks!!!!
